This is a beaded lampshade I made a while ago.   Over 42,000 beads all individually threaded by hand.  I was disappointed that the blue beads I used for the sky started to lose their colour long before I had finished the lampshade.  They faded from blue to white, but there was nothing I could do about it.  You can see that above the orange lettering the beads still contain a bit of their blue colour, as this was the last section to be done. I am a great Lord of the Rings fan, and I guess this is my tribute to the fantastic films.
