Have been rather obsessed with the Tim Holtz Pocket Envelope die, and have made dozens of birthday cards ready for sending.

Decided to do my Christmas cards this year using the same pocket envelope die, so have already made loads of these ready for Christmas.   Not sure that Christmas in May is a good idea, but they are done now, and can get on with my journaling.

Hello, I've been away for a while, but now hopefully I am back and doing things again.  This is an Index card collection I am doing, one a day and hope to keep it going for 100 days, similar to the journal I did.
These Index cards are for a swap for June, I love doing these, a great size to work with.
Now over to Julia's place to see what everyone has been creating recently.

 Hi Everyone,
On my desk this week is the automata that John and I have been making, although he has done all the clever stuff like making the Moon and the moving mechanism, and it is down to me to dress the figure and do all the painting.
Am working on the finishing touches to the eye, and hope to have this done and put in the eye socket of the Moon later today.  The eye then closes, the Moon's tongue sticks in and out, and the figure plays the mandolin and moves his head from side to side.
This will be my least favourite thing to do, painting the cloud.  ThisnkI will have to go for a stipple effect somehow.
I am so thrilled with this automata, as I have always wanted one but never seen one for sale, so we diceded to have a go and make one of our own.
Now over to Julia's place to see what everyone has been up to. Happy WOYWW

Hello fellow crafters, have been away from WOYWW for a few weeks, but am now back in my craft room, and busily working.   In the background you can see the Advent Village I have just finished.  The idea was in this months Craft Stamper, and I loved making it much that I decided to make another one using the little Stampotique character stamps.

Three finished houses ready for the Stampotique village.

The first five houses for the Christmas Advent Village.   Now over to Julias place at stamping ground to see what everyone has been doing.  Happy WOYWW to everyone.

WOYWW 226

Can't believe it's Wednesday again so soon, but the good news is that we can  pop over to Julia's place to see what everyone has been up to.
This week I have been working on some Tim Holtz style tags for a swap.  There will be 12 tags put together as a small book and used as a mini journal next year.  Just have to add string to the shaped end.  Several people are in the swap, so all our pages will be from different people.

Finished my October Tim Holtz tags, so they are ready to be posted off.   Enjoyed this one.

Even more tags!  Have been playing with an Andy Skinner stencil, and done three different takes on the face.
Another Andy Skinner stencil, I like his stencils, and think I will use this one a lot.
Well, that's what I have been doing in the craft room this week, now over to stamping.ground to see what you have been up to.   Happy WOYWW

WOYWW 225

Well, here we are again at Julia's place, and this week I have been busy making Halloween tags.   I treated myself to the new Tim Holtz  'Apothecary Bottles' die, and a die that cuts birds, pumpkins and spider webs.
I love Halloween, so can't stop once I get started on this theme.  Not sure what I will do with all these tags, but have great fun making them.

Knew I would love the bottle die, so many uses!

This is using the bird and cobweb die, and the other is one of my favourite stamps, the phrenology heads.

These are my all time favourite stamps, Stampotique, and have been using alcohol inks for all the backgrounds.  They can be quite dramatic.

Well that's me this week, now over to stamping ground tp see what everyone else is up to.   Happy WOYWW to everyone.

WOYWW 224

Another week flown by, and my desk is busy with tags and birthday cards in the making.
I bought a couple of Pam Carricker stamps, and haven't really done much with them, so thought I would try and make three different characters with the same stamp.

Have gone with Angel, Witch for Hallowe'en and just herself.  Love these stamps, might have to buy more!

Three birthday cards.  One for  a Teddy Bear fanatic, and two for line dancers.   Don't usually make many cards, so thought I would have a go.
Happy WOYWW everyone.

Nice to be back, as haven't been here for a couple of weeks.  On my desk are the Tim Holtz tags for September, not finished yet, but well on the way.  They are for a 4 for 4 swap.

I have just finished two sets of Inspirational Index cards for yet another swap.  Hope they might inspire someone somewhere!

Second set.  Have enjoyed making these and had some great ones back.  It's nice to look through a box of these when you need an idea to go with.

This is an altered book page I am doing for a swap.   Have made two, one to give away and one to keep.
Now, over to Julia's place at stamping ground to see what everyone has been doing.  Why not join us there.
Happy WOYWW

WOYWW 220

Haven't been by for a couple of weeks, and not much on my desk this week.  Hope it gets busier soon!   Have made 3 more Christmas cards, inspired by watching the White Queen, so hope to do a few more soon.
Enjoyed making these, and think I might try a small page of illuminated manuscript next, if I am up to the challenge.  Have just bought the Tim Holtz arch die, so hope that will inspire me.
My attempt at the new August Tim Holtz tag.   Did not have his stamps for this one, so used my own.
A swap tag made for the theme 'Autumn tag', love this deco stamp, and use it a lot.   Well that's me this week, now over to Julia's place at stamping ground to see what everyone else is up to.
Happy WOYWW everyone.

WOYWW 217

How quickly does Wednesday come around, but it's a great day for inspiration over at Julia's place.  This week on my desk, are some examples of using the Lynn Perella stamps I bought.  I hadn't used them too much, so decided as they were so fabulous, I ought to make use of them.   I saw a demonstration by Lin Brown who was stamping with them, and that inspired me to go home and do something myself.  In the background is a articulated mannequin hand I bought yesterday at a large antique fair.  I just love it!!

                                           The wonderful Lynn Perella stamps.

Here is what I did with the stamps.  They are stamped on thick board, and then I used stencils, moulding paste, corrugated cardboard and treasure gold.

Think I will make this my Christmad card for this year.   Might add some gold foil to her headdress. Well that's all for now, so am about to go to Julia's place at stamping ground to see what everyone is up to.
Happy WOYWW

WOYWW 125

Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely weather, though think it is a bit too hot for me!   This week I have just finished my journaling card swap for July, so they are off in the post tomorrow.

These are two birthday cards I made, one for a line dancing friend, and one for a lady who loves her music.
Also just finished the July page of my altered book swap.  Have just got to put appropriate verse on the back of the tag.  Have loved doing this swap.
Now over to Stampingground and Julia's to see what everyone is up to.
Happy WOYWW to everyone.

WOYWW 211

Can't believe Wednesday has rolled around so quickly again.  This week I have just finished a set of 26 double sided journaling cards for a swap.  The idea is to choose one card a week that relates to something that has happened in your week, and then you end up with a mini journal book at the end of the year. An easy way to start a little journal.   Can't wait for my swaps to come back.

This is a set of 4 ATC cards for a swap that were to be done using only three colours, Black, White and Lime.  I enjoyed doing these.

Another page in my Stampotique journal, am really enjoying filling this one.

Now over to Julia's place at  stampinground to see what everyone else is doing.

WOYWW 210

Can't believe Wednesday has come around so quickly.   This week I have been drawing images in an old book, ready for using on journal pages.   Somehow they look better drawn over print than they do just drawn on paper.

Here are my two finished Hallowe'en Spoolies. A long time ago I made some small moulds from a dollshouse doll and poured these two in plaster of paris.   Also made the mould of the skull.  Have a box full of heads for future use.  Now I just have the Christmas Spoolie to make for this year, and another for Easter next year.   I am really far ahead.

Page finished this week in my large journal.   Inspired by the words of the song Wagonwheel Rock

Another page finished this week.  This is inspired from a Gillian Welch song, Caleb Meyer.   Great song, I love her words, and the way she sings.   Her lyrics can be quite dark, but guess that's why I like them.
